The cyberbuddy program doesn't seem to be working right. For a week now, the chat board is empty and there are no users on it, When I ping Cyber or anyone it says uin not found or this is the wrong uin. I have copy/paste a uin from my buddy list but still get the same problem. Everything else seems to be working except for this.

Are you using a Router with the modem? if you are you need to click the general tab , and click the advanced button , on the left side you will see a checkbox and the command line is Use Server based Instant messaging . when you have done that click done at the bottom and make sure the connection type is set in the general tab still upper left side there are 3 check-dots under the My name and pronounced , put the dot in your connection type . then I suggest "Closing CyberBuddy waiting about 30 seconds and restarting the program again . to make sure that CyberBuddy has indeed exited , right click on the Task bar , scroll down on the menu to "Task Manager" and click it . In the new box or Task manager that appears on the desktop click the "Processes Tab" and look for "Cyberbud.exe and Agentsvr.exe" sometimes just above the top file listed the "image name" is a clickable Button , you can click that word and it will set or reverse the list but still in alphabetical order . it should have the agentsvr.exe at the top . IF the CyberBud.exe is in the list that means the program is still running . Simply click the Cyberbud.exe 1 time to highlight it , and down in the right bottom corner of the task manager there is a button that says End process , Click it , next a box will appear verifying your request click yes . that insures that CyberBuddy is closed . The Agent server "Should" shut itself off within 5 to 10 seconds . If it does not shut down repeat the process with the Agentsvr.exe click 1 time to highlight it and then click end process at bottom right . . on the far left is a checkbox that says Show processes from all users , A checkmark should be in that box always . Now you can close the task manager and restart CyberBuddy. when you start the program wait a few minutes then check the list at top again If by some strange reason a blank checkbox is there with no words or numbers after it ,right click it and click remove from online list. now go to the ping box and put in Bobs number 2000 , or even mine 308123. even JD 100 and ping. the list should start to build . remember sync Bob's JD's or mine . If you have made a new user you will want a copy of the "Autocorrect.txt as well as the UIN.lst" in your new username folder .remember after starting CyberBuddy give it 5 minutes . Pretty much most times the list will resolve itself . these steps above are for shutting CyberBuddy down if a bad start is suspected . or an error showed up. the file copy to a new users folder is so the autocorrect will work and the buddy list showing in the buddies tab will already be identical to the default list and it allows the program to load a bitf faster with a built list in place

Maryann remember the file I sent to you? the CPBarms.cfg .CLOSE CYBERBUDDY and make sure that agentsvr.exe *32 is also closed , use taskmanager to make sure . Go to your cyberbuddy folder That will be C:\Apps\Cyberbuddy , open the cyberbuddy folder and find CPBarms.cfg and delete it , then copy the one I sent to you in that folder , as long as you leave the folder open its a simple copy the one from the e_mail , save it to desktop , then right click it and click Copy , then move the mouse to any blank space in the cyberbuddy folder and click paste the CPBparms.cfg is now new and will work , you can close the cyberbuddy folder and any other folders open back to desktp and start cyberbuddy , it may take a few minutes , but in the ping box type in 1111 and click ping cyber should pop up. any questions Give me a Call OK??
