As a simple matter of common sense using the nickname "Cyber" is and has been a very bad idea. I really don't think any explanations are needed . use your imagination and there is the answer

Yes but it could cause a few problems. Say someone wants to use the name "CyberBuddy". Well since the word "Cyber" is blocked, they cannot use that name. Also, the first name I came up with on CyberBuddy is "Cyberspace", so Cyberspace would be blocked as well. Unless you can make it so just the name Cyber is blocked but then how would Cyber use that name? I know this is a late response, sorry

The reason the use of the name Cyber was blocked in the chat is quite simple . When a user decided to use both the name and the bot, people did not "Think" to look at the U-I-N , and when the "Bot" became extremely rude , offensive and replies were those of cuss words and insults . the name and bot blocking started ... I believe that was a pretty good idea making it so only Cyber the Bot can be Cyber the Bot . again looking further than a name would have helped but a whole package of complaints hit JD ..
